As nuclear energy professionals, you have an opportunity to be an advocate for nuclear energy not just by reaching out to policy makers, but even in your everyday interactions with community members. It is important for us to exercise our ability to be ambassadors for our industry in today’s environment, where policy-makers and voters may have a significant impact on the future energy industry.
Attending this webinar should help us better understand how to develop into advocates for our industry. Another very easy way to be an advocate is to sign up with the Nuclear Advocacy Network. Your profile will identify who your Congressmen/women or House Representative are, and when there are local or national policies affecting the nuclear industry, you receive an Action Alert email. This email contains a link to the bill, a summary of the intent and impact, and a link to a letter to your policy maker. This letter can be sent as-is by pushing one button, or you can take the time to edit the letter to personalize it before sending.
